Nokia to expand Chennai plant, to invest 75 Million USD

Nokia announced earlier this week that it is planning to invest another 75 million usd in its chennai sriperumbudur facility.

The plant employs over 6000 people and over 70% of the staff are women.

50% of the handsets made here are being exported to other countries.

It seems to be one of Nokia’s fastest growing plants.
