Nokia to expand Chennai plant, to invest 75 Million USD

Nokia announced earlier this week that it is planning to invest another 75 million usd in its chennai sriperumbudur facility.

The plant employs over 6000 people and over 70% of the staff are women.

50% of the handsets made here are being exported to other countries.

It seems to be one of Nokia’s fastest growing plants.

First Edition of MoMo Chennai Summary

More than 50 people turning up for a Mobile event in the city on a Sunday morning.Is surprising for sure. That was the response for MobileMonday Chennai.The show started at about 10:30 A.M and went on till about 2:00 P.M

The general feedback was the tech audience wanted more of technology be displayed rather than a business discussion.Everyone is really excited about such an event shaping up in the city.

We see a great future for such an event in the city.We plan to have our next event in about 3 months from now.
